Divergent Technologies has signed a lease on a new office space in Torrance, formerly a FedEx facility. The company is looking to expand their new approach to auto manufacturing using 3D printing technology. CEO of Divergent Technologies, Kevin Czinger has designed a sustainable way to manufacture cars through the 3D printing process. The advantages of this type of car manufacturing is that it reduces factory emissions, the cars are also much lighter and more durable and the amount of materials used is lower than the traditional way of manufacturing. Their supercar prototype is the Blade which has been showcased at the LA Auto Show. The supercar is fully functioning and capable of reaching 60mph in 2.2 seconds.
